Aims and Scope

Studi Economici e Sociali: Rivista di vita economica is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing rigorous and socially relevant research in economics, finance, business, management, public policy, and the social sciences. The journal provides an interdisciplinary forum for theoretical, empirical, methodological, historical, comparative, and policy-oriented contributions that improve understanding of economic life and its institutional, organisational, social, political, technological, and environmental dimensions.

The journal aims to promote the production and international dissemination of original knowledge, encourage constructive dialogue across disciplines and geographical regions, and strengthen the connection between academic research, public decision-making, business practice, and societal development. It welcomes studies that make a clearly defined theoretical, methodological, empirical, historical, managerial, or policy contribution.

The journal publishes research concerning individual countries, regions, industries, organisations, institutions, and international or comparative settings. Contributions addressing Europe, the Mediterranean region, emerging markets, developing economies, and global economic and social challenges are particularly encouraged. Research from all geographical contexts is eligible when it provides a substantial scholarly contribution and is relevant to the journal’s readership.

Types of Manuscripts

The journal considers original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews, conceptual papers, methodological papers, empirical studies, policy analyses, comparative studies, historical studies, case studies, research notes, short communications, and scholarly book reviews.

Manuscripts that are exclusively technical, clinical, engineering-based, or natural-science oriented are normally outside the journal’s scope unless they contain a clearly articulated and substantial economic, managerial, institutional, policy, or social-science contribution.

Submissions may be written in English or Italian. Manuscripts submitted in Italian must include an English title, abstract, keywords, author affiliations, and complete bibliographic metadata to support international accessibility and discoverability.
