Publication Ethics

Studi Economici e Sociali: Rivista di vita economica is committed to editorial independence, research integrity, transparent peer review, and the fair treatment of authors and reviewers.

Author responsibilities

Authors must submit original work, report methods and findings honestly, identify all sources, disclose funding and conflicts of interest, protect participants and confidential data, and ensure that every listed author meets the journal’s authorship requirements.

Editor responsibilities

Editors assess manuscripts solely on scholarly merit, relevance, methodological credibility, ethical compliance, and clarity. They protect confidentiality, manage conflicts of interest, obtain independent review, and correct the record when necessary.

Reviewer responsibilities

Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely reports; maintain confidentiality; disclose conflicts; avoid personal criticism; and alert the editor to suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, data manipulation, or other ethical concerns.

Publisher responsibilities and editorial independence

Centro Studi G. Toniolo supports the journal’s editorial infrastructure without interfering in individual editorial decisions. Commercial, institutional, political, or personal considerations must not determine acceptance or rejection.

Research integrity and misconduct

Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, undisclosed conflicts, and unethical treatment of participants are prohibited. Allegations are assessed fairly, confidentially, and on the available evidence. Authors are given an opportunity to respond. Confirmed concerns may lead to rejection, correction, retraction, notification of institutions, or other proportionate action.

The journal follows recognised principles of transparency and publication ethics. This statement does not claim membership of any external ethics organisation.
